At first, Sas Christian's Big Eye Paintings seem to be more of the played-out infantilization of women in art, but looking closer I realized it's different from that. Generally, the faces aren't exactly women-as-doe-eyed-children but women with just obscenely exaggerated eyes (and other features), shown in a straight jacket or smoking or covered in blood. There's definitely a Lolita vibe, but it's done well. This is another painter who amazes me, since at first I was convinced these were digital. (The artist states they are oil on canvas or board).
... who's been abused. If you didn't think you did, now you do: I've been physically and verbally abused by intimate partners.

Also: endabuse.org: "Nearly one-third of American women (31 percent) report being physically or sexually abused by a husband or boyfriend at some point in their lives... Thirty percent of Americans say they know a woman who has been physically abused by her husband or boyfriend in the past year... Slightly more than half of female victims of intimate violence live in households with children under age 12... Three in four women (76 percent) who reported they had been raped and/or physically assaulted since age 18 said that a current or former husband, cohabiting partner, or date committed the assault."
From Dooce.com:
I also dated a guy who said he couldn’t bring himself to sleep with women who had big butts. I didn’t take that stipulation very seriously because an ass is not a physical characteristic that I will ever possess, much like boobs or manageable hair. It wasn’t until I realized that his aversion to butts was just Chapter One in his memoir The Innumerable Ways I am Out of My Fucking Mind, and by Chapter Four: I Cannot Bring Myself to Sleep With Women Who Have Vaginas, I knew that I had stumbled into the wrong section of the library, if you know what I’m saying.
A Japanese company is claiming that it's B2Up gum is 100% natural and has been proven (by Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University) to increase the size, shape and firmness of a woman's breasts up to 80%, as well as improving the skin and aiding fatigue and cramps. The gum contains pueraria mirifica, an oestregen not even found in soy isoflavins.
Even though this totally seems like the penis enlargement pills you get emails about every day, for $35 I'll still try a bottle. I'm not lacking in the breast department (but more never hurts) and am most interested in the intake of the added female hormone. I have PCOS, an androgen imbalance, possible adult-onset adrenal hyperplasia, and no health insurance, so anything that might help balance my hormones is worth a shot. Even a long shot.
Plus, boobies.
DontDateHimGirl.com allows scorned women a public venue to post the name, height, weight, age, hometown, and even a picture of their ex as a warning for other women to stay away. The site describes itself as "a powerful online forum for women to share their dating experiences and warn other women about the men who have allegedly cheated on or lied to them!" (note use of the word "allegedly").
Public service or libel? In any case, here's a post from the site:
I met him when I was 20 and he was 30. We dated and began living together. Then at some point, he decides he needs a new truck, and asks for me to sign for it since I have perfect credit. Before I go on, let me note that I did not have a license at the time, the truck was registered and insured to him- I never drove it. Not once. I'm sure you know how the rest of the story goes. He got the truck, 4 months later starts smoking crack, ends up defaulting on the truck, it gets reposessed (We obviously break up). I find out during this period of time that he cheated on me during our relationship - WITH HOOKERS - and then came home and slept with me without a condom. He crashed the truck driving intoxicated. The truck was reposssed and sold at auction and the remaining debt - $16,500 - was then my responsibility. I know, my stupidity. He then spent the next several years saying that I was responsible, he was not, too bad for me... He's smooth, he's charming, he's cute, and he is absolutely EVIL. He has ripped off or screwed over just about everyone I've ever heard of him coming in contact with, and then will argue for days about how innocent he is. Don't date him, and don't go near him, and for crying out loud, DON'T give him any money.
She then lists the areas he's known to frequent and the name of his contracting and remodeling business.
Audrey Kawasaki's sexualized angels.
Her lines, colors, and composition are clean and simple, and the faces of her girls are absolutely juicy.
Her paintings make me feel like lounging, floating, stretching like a cat.
